After graduation from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in Birmingham in 2004, Dr. Stuart
Curry served 3 years of active duty in the U.S. Air Force. Dr. Curry practiced cosmetic dentistry, implant
restoration, and comprehensive dental care while stationed at MacDill Air Force Base. To expand his
knowledge and education, he was participated in many hours of continuing education, both through the
Air Force and via civilian courses.
Dr. Curry’s dream was to return to his hometown of Birmingham, Alabama, and provide the latest in
dental services, technology, products, and techniques available today. He is involved in many
professional societies, including the American Dental Association, Birmingham District Dental Society
and the Alabama Dental Association.

Vestavia Hills is a large community that offers a constantly-growing number of club sports, including youth baseball, softball, girls and boys basketball, wrestling, soccer, lacrosse, football, flag-football, cheerleading, tennis, volleyball, and swimming. Vestavia offers multiple parks with various facilities, which many of the clubs utilize. Liberty Park Sports Complex is located in Liberty Park, behind the elementary and middle schools. It offers nine softball fields, four youth fields and five adult fields. One football field and four natural grass soccer fields are also located in Liberty Park. Sicard Hollow Athletic Complex is an extension of the Liberty Park Sports Complex. It currently consists of a turf football and lacrosse field that also serves as a soccer field. There are also two additional turf soccer fields. Restrooms, concessions, score towers, and bleachers are available. Future expansion plans include: an amphitheater, water area, dog park, and walking trails for Sicard Hollow.
Wald Park is located next to Vestavia Hills Elementary West, overlooking Vestavia Hills Elementary Central. The Vestavia Hills Swimming Pool, the Civic Center, and the Senior’s Lodge are all located within Wald Park. With five baseball fields, a walking track, community playground, and skatepark, Wald Park offers many amenities for families to enjoy.
The Temple of Sibyl is a well-known city landmark and is included on the Alabama Register of Landmarks. Recognized as the gateway to Vestavia Hills, the famous structure can be seen from Highway 31. It was constructed by former mayor, George Ward. Ward modeled the temple as a replica of Tivoli’s Temple of Sibyl, which is located just outside Rome, Italy.
